Fixed isn’t always verified. Record both.
For developers: separate code changes from behavior checks so the next AI has evidence.
Leave results and evidence for the next AI
Changing code and checking the behavior are different steps. Record them separately when working across coding AIs.
Try it
- Create separate to-dos for fixing a bug and verifying its behavior.
- Ask your MCP-connected coding AI:
I fixed the upload error. Mark the code fix done. I haven’t tested an actual upload yet, so leave that check open.
- After testing, record the condition and result:
I tested uploading a 5 MB PDF, and it worked. Mark the verification done and record what I tested in its description.
Ask another connected AI
Have it read the list and explain what was verified. It should be clear which code changed and which behavior you actually tested.
See this workflow in context in a developer’s story about separating code changes from verified results.
