One link for a new hire’s first day.
For team leads: share first-day instructions while keeping evaluation and internal preparation notes separate.
Answering the same first-day questions?
What time should I arrive? Where do I go? Should I bring a laptop? Who should I contact when I get there?
Explaining each detail in separate messages makes it easy to leave something out. But sharing your entire preparation list could expose equipment costs or private meeting notes.
Separate the two lists
- Create a First-day guide with arrival time, location, what to bring, and a contact person.
- Keep equipment purchases and meeting preparation in a separate internal list. Create the share link only for the guide.
- Open the external link and check the visible information and AI chat.
If the what-to-bring item says “Company laptop provided; no personal laptop needed,” try asking:
Do I need to bring my own laptop on the first day?
Check the guide as a visitor
Confirm the answer uses the recorded instructions. Add missing information to the guide. Check that internal costs and meeting notes aren’t visible in the shared view.
Send the new hire that one link. They can read the instructions and ask questions about their own situation.
The same sharing pattern appears in a different setting in an event planner’s story about sharing a separate guest-facing guide. See how readers use the AI alongside the information they receive.
