Time blocking: Put your to-dos on the calendar.

Set aside time for your to-dos and sync those work blocks to Google Calendar.

Give the work a place in your day

Time blocking divides the day into intervals and assigns work to them. It answers when you intend to do the work on your list.

Use thrw’s AI to schedule to-dos and Google Calendar integration to see those intervals on your calendar, without entering them again separately.

Apply it

  1. Connect Google Calendar. Check your existing commitments and the time you can reserve.
  2. Distinguish work slots from fixed appointments:

I have an online class tomorrow from 10 to 11 a.m. I’ve checked that 9–10 and 11–11:30 a.m. are free. Schedule report drafting from 9 to 10 and organizing my research notes from 11 to 11:30. The report is due Friday.

  1. Check for overlaps and apply. After sync, verify the two work intervals in Google Calendar.
  2. When the plan changes, update the same to-do:

Move the report draft to tomorrow 2–3 p.m. Keep the Friday deadline.

Check the connection

  • The report still has a Friday deadline, with a separate work slot tomorrow from 2 to 3 p.m.
  • The connected calendar reflects the new interval.
  • Rescheduling unfinished work doesn’t require creating another to-do.

Treat the blocks as a plan you can change. If the day goes differently, adjust the time you have left.
